A big event many of you may know about in Maynard in the Maynard and/or October Fest! Through the effort of our newly elected officers and our tireless sponsors, we managed to hold a booth there this year, where we had face painting, Latin club paraphernalia and, of course, gladiator games. We had been hoping to host our own gladiator games tournament for a while now, but only today were we able to make our dream come true. The booth was wildly popular, with contestants young and old eager to try their hand at the modern foam sword rendition of the very old game. In the end, we crowned the winner a one Glen Wilson (who this editor will deny any and all relations too…) and made over 500 dollars. We hope to host that booth again next year and would like to thank the town of Maynard for allowing us this opportunity. Gratias!
